What is in the pack

The designer modelled the sheets after antique sketchbook pages and made them as base backgrounds for junk journals and scrapbooks, and also for cards, tags and other paper crafts. Because the pages are blank, they take anything on top: handwriting, stamps, a printed poem, glued ephemera.

It is the paper you would otherwise make by soaking sheets in coffee and drying them in the oven, without the mess and without the curled edges that jam a printer. The files are Letter size, 8.5 × 11 inches, and come in one zip file.

Ideas for using these papers

  • Journal signatures. Print on both sides, fold in half and sew: a whole signature of aged pages.
  • Writing pages. Run a printed sheet through the printer again with lines or a poem on top.
  • Tags and pockets. Print a template on the back and cut.
  • Photo mats. A coffee-coloured border makes a new photo look at home in an old album.
  • Letters and recipes. Handwriting on tan paper for a gift or a family recipe book.

The colours are sampled from the preview images of the designer. Screens and printers show them a little differently, so treat the codes as a starting point for matching cardstock, ink or digital elements.

Printing tips

  1. Open the file in any image viewer or drop it onto a blank page in a text editor, then choose Print.
  2. Choose “Fit to page” for a whole small sheet, or 100% to keep the pattern at its full scale.
  3. Pick matte paper or light cardstock and select the same paper type in the printer settings.
  4. Set print quality to “Best” or “High” and print one test page before you print the set.

Colours may look a little different on paper than on screen: that depends on the printer and the paper.
