What is in the kit

The kit is large enough for a whole journal in one colour story. The journal pages and background papers make the signatures; the 12 supply pages fill them: a large envelope, a pocket envelope and a round envelope with four flaps, arch and corner pockets with glue tabs, tags in three sizes, small cards, lined note cards, flower borders and labels with single words such as “Memories”, “Harmony” and “Dream”.

The designer calls it a vintage beige kit for junk journaling, scrapbooking and paper crafting. Everything is Letter size, in JPG files.

Ideas for using the kit

  • A journal from cover to cover. Pages, papers and ephemera in the same beige, so nothing has to be matched.
  • Wedding and anniversary albums. Cream florals sit well next to old photographs.
  • Tuck spots. Glue a corner pocket on two sides and slide a lined note card in.
  • Gift tags. The floral tags work on any present.
  • Letter writing. A lined note card in the large envelope makes a small letter set.

Colour palette of the kit

  • White#FFFFFF
  • Cream#F0E5D0
  • Beige#D8C7AD
  • Beige 2#C3A47A
  • Tan#B18D5E
  • Brown#916E42

The colours are sampled from the preview images of the designer. Screens and printers show them a little differently, so treat the codes as a starting point for matching cardstock, ink or digital elements.

How the pages print at home

Every page is Letter size, 8 1/2 × 11 in (21.6 × 27.9 cm), so it fills one sheet of paper.

PaperSettingWhat you get
Letter100% (“Actual size”)Every piece at the size the designer drew it
A4“Fit to page”The whole page at about 97%: A4 is a little narrower than Letter, so at 100% the side edges would be cut off

Most home printers leave a white margin of a few millimetres. If a piece sits right at the edge of the page, choose “Fit to page” on Letter paper as well.

Printing tips

  1. Open the page in any image viewer and choose Print, one page per sheet.
  2. Print tags, cards and labels on matte cardstock so they keep their shape; print envelopes and pockets on ordinary paper, which folds without cracking.
  3. Select the same paper type in the printer settings and set print quality to “Best” or “High”.
  4. Print one page first, then cut the pieces out with scissors or a craft knife and a ruler.

Colours may look a little different on paper than on screen: that depends on the printer and the paper.
